The picture on the cover of this short booklet is intentionally hideous. It is the perversion of something beautiful under the oppressive weight of COVID 19. This book is designed to help explain the national experience of pain we have endured by comparing it to the five stages of grief. Understanding it will help us to escape the icy grip it has had on us. Then we can begin to discuss some specific actions for leaders to embrace as they move forward.
