About the Author

The Farm Chicks got its beginning when Serena Thompson and her friend Teri Edwards held a yard sale to get rid of some of the "junk" they both love to collect. From that simple beginning Thompson parlayed her love of vintage stuff, handmade crafts, cooking, and family into a brand that celebrates the simple and stylish. Serena now runs The Farm Chicks Antique Show, a large and successful annual antiques fair in Spokane, WA; maintains a website and blog where she shares Farm Chick Style, a line of jewelry, clothing, and stationery items; and is a contributing editor to Country Living magazine.

The bulk of the book is dedicated to crisp and expressive photographs, but Thompson also shares memories of holidays past, family traditions, and tips for adding that special little detail. A short section in the back presents holiday recipes, including those mentioned throughout the book. The book ends with removable stickers and cards intended for use in gift giving, which will probably be gone after the first checkout.I Would Give This to Friends or family who enjoy looking at Christmas decorations and those who like to decorate but need a little guidance on how to do it, particularly if their taste runs to country and antiques.
