Thus, TR learns that there is far more to Holland than canals, windmills, and tulips. Cotton Comes to Holland is also a meditation on Dutch society, its seemingly trusting baseline, social equality, and “harm reduction” policy toward prostitution and drugs. Cotton Comes to Holland is by no means a promotion or endorsement of these attitudes; rather it is simply the observations and reflections of one man.
