About her writing, she says, "I love to push my mind into the nooks and crannies of human potential, whether it's wisdom lost in the ancient past or science we've yet to embrace, or even present wonders we might have missed. She began her writing career as an arts journalist, working for The Los Angeles Times and other publications. She lives in sunny Southern California, works in the midst of an urban food forest, and waltzes (and foxtrots and tangos) with her writer husband whenever spacious ballrooms are available.
