About the Author

Dr Mike Teng is the author of the book "Corporate Turnaround: Nursing a sick company back to health", published by Prentice Hall in 2002 which is also translated into the Bahasa Indonesia. It was one of the top selling management books then. He has been interviewed on the national media on many occasions on the subject of corporate turnaround and transformation. Dr Teng is widely recognized as a turnaround CEO in Asia by publications such as the Boss Magazine, Economic Bulletin, the Today, World Executive Digest, Lianhe ZaoPao, StarBiz, Singapore Edge and the Straits Times. He also used to sit in at the advisory boards of Singapore Polytechnic and National University of Singapore. He has 25 years' experience in corporate turnaround, strategic planning and operational responsibilities in the Asia Pacific region. Dr Teng was also the President of the Marketing Institute of Singapore (2000 - 2004), the national body representing some 5000 individual and corporate members in Singapore then. Dr Teng holds a Doctor in Business Administration (DBA) from the University ofSouth Australia, Master in Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) from the National University of Singapore. He is also a Professional Engineer (P Eng, Singapore), Chartered Engineer ( C Eng, UK) and Fellow Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM), Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), Institute of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE), Institute of Electrical Engineers (FIEE).
