Purpose: The purpose is to provide accurate and comprehensive information to oncology nurses, which in turn they can share with patients, families and other healthcare professionals.
Audience: The targeted audience is the oncology nurse, but the content would be appropriate for most nurses — medical-surgical, oncology, or office nurses.
Features: Do to the high incidence of colorectal cancer in the U.S., it is an important for the general population to understand the risk factors, prevention, screening, and types of treatment. One of the best things about this book is the ease of reading.
Assessment: Compared to other books on the subject, this book not only addresses the scientific aspect of colorectal cancer, but provides practical information.
