The author is a licensed Texas Recording Agent and Catastrophe Claims Adjuster with over thirty-five years experience selling and servicing the insurance needs of Texans. During the many years in the insurance business the author early on became keenly aware that the average consumer was not properly informed about the insurance coverage that they were purchasing. Additionally the author quickly recognized that frequently the agents selling insurance to the public though licensed, did not truly understand the coverages that they were selling. As a result the author was intent on educating his staff and policyholders on the coverages that were being purchased and how those coverages impacted the policyholder in automobile claim situations.
