Consciousness Finally Explained
This book presents an exciting new approach to understanding consciousness—fully and irrefutably resolving the ancient paradox of mind and matter! The proof is in the pudding: the human brain—whose supernatural “limbic” design rules out the common belief that consciousness is an “emergent property” of matter. Rather, consciousness must, based solidly on neural design, be the very presence of God. God, not matter, must be fundamental—a God who transcends space and time as biblically proclaimed. Atheists be forewarned, this new and comprehensive look at brain anatomy—simplified so that those with little or no training in science can understand—irrefutably favors creationism. To the satisfaction of his most fervent critics, Dr. Dudley has indeed answered the big question, the “hard question” of science: how sensation becomes conscious. The answer is so stunningly simple that one can only wonder why it has taken so long to discover—that an image, being finite, is the sole means by which order is created or sustained, and an otherwise universal tendency toward increasing disorder thereby contained. In a nutshell, consciousness, forever fused with a finite image, becomes envisioned as the interface between order and disorder, the finite and the infinite, existence and nonexistence—in the image of God. Armchair philosophers will enjoy the mind-boggling theological and cosmological implications of this book. And the scientifically inclined will be among the first to grasp why E = mc2 and the most fundamental transformations of energy require an image—and therefore the existence of God.

Following brief forays into quantum physics the final essay, the Epilogue, puts the final nail in the coffin of evolution, revealing a trinitarian pattern to everything from quarks to the family. For example, it becomes apparent that short of the family triangle (father-child-mother) being modeled after a triune God, every member of the family will suffer some degree of brain damage paralleling frontal lobotomy—explaining why violence has exploded almost to the day the Supreme Court outlawed God from public places. Readers will see that only the very presence of God, biblically defined as unconditional (agape) love, can save the family and society. This final essay explains the dynamics of what happens when this kind of love is absent from the home. If you are an atheist, the odds are you won’t be after reading this book! It is the long-awaited perfect synthesis of God and science.

About the Author

Born in 1937, Glenn Dudley's passion has always been the "mind-body problem." With emphasis on neurology and neuroscience, he received his medical degree from the University of Colorado. Following an internship in medicine and psychiatry he was a staff scientist at MIT's Neurosciences Research Program--a think tank devoted to the integration of molecular and behavioral aspects of brain science. He was elected to the Society for Neuroscience in 1972. He is presently working on a third book--with the tentative title of Demonology in an Age of Modern Psychology. He lives in NH with his wife Jean. Three children and eight grandchildren live nearby. Dr. Dudley, now retired from clinical medicine, loves to ski, hike and run in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
