About the Author

Dr. Amber Godwin is an assistant professor at the College of Education at Sam Houston State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University in 2015. Her research aims to develop critical thinking experiences for learners and explore interventions that enhance Social Studies education. Prior to entering higher education, she taught AP World History and served as an essay scorer for AP College Board. She contracts with York and National Geographic Learning. In her free time she enjoys being outside, spontaneous dance parties, and going on adventures with her family and friends.
