What People are Saying About This

From the Publisher

"While basic aspects of diagnosis, medical and surgical therapies are included, it is particularly noteworthy that significant attention is paid to aspects of PD often overlooked in medical texts and yet crucial to understanding how best to treat our patients and how wellness is really defined....This text is an important resource for nurses and ancillary healthcare providers treating PD patients. Physicians treating PD and other neurodegenerative diseases will also find that its contents have broad applicability and value. Finally, patients and families dealing with PD will derive invaluable information that will assist them in adjusting to living with PD, finding the right blend of professional assistance and comprehensive care, and discovering that quality of life and sense of well-being are well within their grasp."
—Matthew B. Stern, MD, Parker Family Professor of Neurology, Director, Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center, University of Pennsylvania, from the foreword
