This paper was written to analyze commercial type motor shipment and its adaptability to military uses, and to study the advisability of a military organization along the lines of commercial of commercial type hauling and trucking agencies, using a 15-20 ton tractor-trailer vehicle for communications zone operations, in speedy transport of needed equipment and supplies to the combat zone.
