About the Author

Cline Paden was born in Hunt County, Texas in 1919. He attended Idalou High School and graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1947. Two years later, he took his family to Italy where he began a lifetime of ministry, in both mission and church work that spans some 60 years. After returning to the States he served several churches as preacher and elder. In 1962, along with other concerned men, he began the Latin American Bible School and served as its founding Director. That school eventually would become the Sunset School of Preaching, now called Sunset International Bible Institute, where thousands of preachers and religious workers have been trained, and many are yet being trained. After directing the school for 30 years, Cline resigned as director in 1993 and became the first Chancellor of SIBI.

Dr. Truman Scott has served over fifty-five years as an evangelist, a missionary, a congregational minister, elder, ministry trainer and Christian counselor. He received his undergraduate degrees from Freed Hardeman and Harding Universities. His graduate work and doctoral studies are from Harding University and Bethany Theological Seminary. His counseling experience is extensive and ongoing. He has authored study courses on counseling and conducted multiple seminars on leadership and marriage.

Currently he is retired from ministry training administration in which he served as Dean at Sunset International Bible Institute. He is engaged in consulting work, planning and writing. He is on the Graduate Faculty of Sunset International Bible Institute. He is married to Ferne White; they have three children and nine grandchildren.
