Overview

Today's contemporary world was shaped by Columbus's legacy, which is indirectly responsible for the geography of North and South America. During that process, Indians and African were victims of slavery.

There are two parts of his legacy, the winners and the losers. It is sufficed to say; Europeans represents the winners because of their present-day dominance and on the other hand, the losers are Indians and Africans.

Unfortunately, the western interpretation of Columbus's legacy omits the victims of the holocaust. This book will address this issue from an African perspective.

The reader will learn the significance of Columbus's four voyages and the importance of the second which was a colonization effort.
Additionally, Columbus enslaved the Indians in the development of the colonies and his quest for gold and how his colonization initiative was the precursor of slavery in the Americas and colonialism in Africa.

This presentation represents an African perspective and summarizes how his legacy has an ever lasting effect on African-Americans in the western hemisphere and Africans in Africa.
