About the Author

Born into the life of a pirate I have always had a passion for discovery and treasure hunting, Growing up in the early 70s bouncing between Spain and Italy as a military dependent, I would follow my dad as he swung his old metal detector digging everything from Roman coins to WWII artifacts, We would trek across the countryside and through the mountains exploring the ruins and caves in search of treasures, The bug was planted, Now 50 years later I still follow the family tradition of discovery and treasure hunting and have firmly planted my digging shovel in the old dirt here in St Augustine Florida, Being the nations oldest continually occupied city founded in 1565 by Ponce De Lyon and steeped with early colonial history it was just the kind of dirt I liked to play in, After 35 years digging the old dirt I have made countless amazing discoveries and built quite a collection of treasures to share, For many the recovery of valuable objects is what drives their passion, For myself it is the discovery of history and piecing together the lives of those who lived here before us and sharing those discoveries with others, That is the most rewarding aspect of this wonderful hobby for me.
The information herein is based on my personal research and interpretations of the artifacts I have recovered, All artifacts unless noted have been recovered by me and no use of any images or text may be copied or used without my consent and written release to use the material.
History belongs to us all, I am just the digger.
