This book is a collection of events of the authors life while assigned to the Berlin Brigade, Company F 40th Armor, West Berlin, West Germany. The author was right out of basic training and had the opportunity to be assigned to the show piece of the Army in Europe. It depicts the normal and crazy life as a soldier while assigned to a unit behind the Iron Current. The author was assigned not to just any unit but to a unit of Combat Tanks in a City that was partitioned by 3 Allied countries, United States of America, United Kingdom and France, the other side of the Wall was the Country of East Berlin who had their partner, the Soviet Union as their Allie.

About the Author

William E. Rogers Jr., was raised in the Poconos, Pennsylvania, a small town on the border of New Jersey. Finished High School and decided to join the Army. Chose the career field of Armor Crewman on M60A1 tanks and went to basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky in June 1981, graduated Tanker school in October 1981 and ended up being assigned to Company F 40th Armor in November 1981. The author spent a total of 15 years in the Army, served in various places , Panama , Fort Bragg, Fort Lewis, and other stateside assignments. He has two sons and currently resides in New Jersey
