Overview

The past is calling,
The future is waiting,
And something—or someone—is watching

It's been a year since Konrad and Weston narrowly escaped the Gancanagh island, Achaeten. Weston is lost: longing for someone he can't have, struggling to find purpose in the world, and hiding from a mysterious predator in the woods. Even his Luck magic hasn't shown him a true path forward.

Faced with troubles of his own, Konrad cannot reconcile his growing feelings for Weston. Duty and practicality call him home to Khale at night, but the more he denies his desire for Weston, the more it grows.

When Luck finally shares a hint of the future, Konrad and Weston once again put their faith in each other as they venture from the safety of their little farm and toward the wild sea. Hearts on the line, Konrad and Weston return to the island where it all began. But, there is more at stake than their own emotions, as lives hang in the balance and the lines between enemy and ally blur.

About the Author

Krissy lives in a chaos factory, which is run by a merciless team of miniature humans and their pets. She enjoys music, foreign languages, noise-canceling headphones, and the smell of fresh-mowed grass. She has a useless degree in Physics and part of another useless degree in Nursing, neither of which helped in the creation of this book.

Holly is a dreamer with big, endless ideas trapped inside herself. Most of the time she can’t find the right words. With an occasional accent from nowhere and a communication disorder, things get tangled up in her mind. Except when it comes to stories. Whether it’s a poem that erupts from her soul, a character brought to life in a book, or a song she never shares, stories are the place where her voice comes alive.
She has two kids with her high school sweetheart. She divides most of her time between writing and homeschooling, but also enjoys swimming, short hikes, video games, movies, reading, music, cooking and baking, and having plants other people keep alive. None of her interests are represented by her degree in accounting.
