Overview

In this brief easy-to-read book, theologian and author Mike Ford shows the reasons why many churches are dying from within and he claims the root reason is because they only understand part of what the Bible teaches about human nature. Not teaching the deepest truth about who we are has done great damage to Christians and Non-Christians alike, leaving damaged souls far and wide.

About the Author

Mike Ford is a Christian of more than 25 years who has Biblical and theological training from Evangel University. Throughout his spiritual journey, Mike has been enriched by immersing himself in various theological and doctrinal models in various church traditions. He started at the age of 15 as an evangelical before exploring the independent charismatic movement. While attending a classical Pentecostal university, he converted to the Episcopal Church, to later spend time in the Charismatic Episcopal Church, then the United Methodist Church. He has gone from conservative to liberal and is now somewhere in the middle, taking an open and inclusive approach to Christian orthodoxy from within a traditional framework. Believe it or not, that is possible.Mike has a wealth of knowledge concerning theology, doctrine and church history. Through many years of wrestling with Scripture and Christianity’s various teachings, he has come to believe very deeply that the journey into God and the journey into our selves is one and the same: not our false selves, but our true selves.
