About the Author

As a CPS, CARES, Veteran, Mother, entrepreneur and humanitarian, I realized early in life the importance of a solid foundation and community support to substain a healthy and positive lifestyle. Impacted by circumstances present in my daily life, I was led down a path that could have ruined me, having been in an environment where many peers, friends and family members were subjected to drugs, incarceration, violence, and economic starvation. As a person in long term recovery I dedicated my life to improving and empowering the lives of seniors, homeless, veterans, single parents, their children and ultimately their communities. Under the direction of my children, & fueled by my own battles with drugs & bi polar, I expanded my dream. I advocate for both children and adults to promote educational and recreational activities needed to nurture positive relationships with their fellow citizens and promote positive self-esteem. There is firsthand experience on both the right and wrong sides of the track with my life. I have been empowered through my own mental health challenges to tell my own story, in my own way. I ultimately seeks to encourage, provide, and inspire my children to pursue their dreams, excel at their goals while making an impact in my community both locally and abroad. I currently work for Clayton CSB to provide peer support services for persons with mental/addictive disorders. I also started RECOVERY WARRIORZ, a community group that assists with PARDONS, resources & community integration. I will continue to feed my passion for diagnosed/displaced individuals by offering continued support, to advocate and educate to forge a healthy positive recovery model.
