Jack London (1876-1916), one of America's most popular storytellers, drew heavily upon his diverse, often turbulent personal experiences for his enormous output. London grew up in Oakland, was an oyster pirate at 15, a sailor at 17, odd-jobbed everywhere, eventually working up to a prospecting stint in Alaska.

CHILDREN OF THE FROST is a collection of 10 stories based entirely upon Indian themes. Like his other books, this one drew immediate praise and continues to be popular today. Particularly good for family groups or younger readers.
