I am not sure how to categorize this book. It could be a children's book. But, it's a bit long for that. It could be a graphic novel or a comic book, but it seems the layout is all wrong for that. So, what kind of book is this? Let's just call it what it is, a storybook. It's a storybook for kids and grownups. It's a storybook dedicated to anyone and everyone that, at one time or another, has stepped into the role of Mom regardless of being a Ms. Mom or a Mr. Mom.
One day when Chick was out walking, he found an egg on the ground. It wasn't in a nest. It was just lying there out in the open, all alone abandoned and helpless. Chick decided to save the egg and take it home. Chick's parents were not pleased. They felt he was too young to care for an egg, but worse than that... HE WAS A BOY! Boys didn't hatch eggs! That was a girl's job! Girls grew up to be hens. Only mommy-hens could look after eggs. Boys grew up to be roosters, and only daddy-roosters do whatever it is they do, but it sure wasn't hatching eggs. Chick knew this, but egg had nobody but him. What else could he do? With the help of his friends, he was going to figure it out.
