About the Author

Lisa Swan was born in Chicago and spent most of
her childhood growing up in the Galewood neighborhood,
a small Italian enclave where she made lifelong friends.
After high school, she started as a runner at the fast
paced Chicago Mercantile Exchange before working her
way up the ladder. Soon after, Lisa met and married Frank
Calabrese, Jr, son of notorious Chicago mob hitman
Frank Calabrese, and that’s where things got tricky. Today,
Lisa works as an operations manager for a national hotel
chain. She first began telling her story at a book signing
for Frank Jr. Later, she gave the incredible YouTube interview that would
ultimately lead to this book. Lisa is the mother of daughter Kelly and son
Anthony. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her pup Rocky.

Camillus Robinson was born in Lynchburg, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English. He developed an interest in organized crime after hearing the exploits of his great grandfather, an Italian immigrant to Boston who ultimately had to flee to New York to escape the mafia. Camillus attempts to apply traditional historical research methods to his organized crime work and aims to be as thorough and accurate as possible. For the last few years, he has worked with Gary Jenkins on the Gangland Wire Podcast, co-wrote the script for Jenkins’ documentary Brothers Against Brothers: The Civella Spero War, and later went on to work as a cowriter and cast member of Inside the Chicago Outfit, a panel show about the Chicago mob. He currently lives in Munster, Indiana with his beautiful wife, high school teacher Ginny Eib, a German Shepherd named Thor, and two cats, Lobster Roll and Yoncé.
