Overview

Discover the wonders of chemistry, from the periodic table to how compounds are made.

Chemicals are like crayons.

The most basic colors are red, yellow, and blue.

The most basic chemicals are called elements.

Adorable pocket-sized scientists will inspire and delight your little learners, while baby-friendly analogies break down complex structures into bite-sized elements that readers of all ages will understand. Who knew elements could be compared to crayons and that the periodic table is so much like a crayon box?

As a companion to introducing chemistry, this fun little board book by Veronica L. Murphy, PhD, and Hilli Kushnir is the ultimate addition to a teacher's STEAM library or on the bookshelf of a curious toddler. It will guide you through understanding how surroundings are made of chemicals.

Science is an adventure—come play!

From Starry Forest Books, Baby's Big World introduces babies to big concepts—everything from rocket science to music—for the very first time.
