Chaucere - Camelot Noir

From the author of the #1 Kindle Bestselling Epic Fantasy Detective Strongoak and the Case of the Dead Elf, a new saga begins. This is Camelot Noir.

Almost against his will, the Sword-for-Hire known simply as Chaucere, finds himself back in his native land and the burgeoning city of Camelot. It turns out Camelot is now the perfect place for a man of his talents because, when there is nobody else available to help the common folk, Chaucere, and his sword, is always at hand; for a reasonable price.

Chaucer becomes involved with machinations surrounding King Arthur's young Queen Guinevere, which brings him to the attention of the formidable Merlin. Forced to become his cat's paw, Chaucere finds, and falls foul of Lord Hudde and his true boss, who has an unexpected secret connection to the King who pulled the Sword from the Stone. But Chaucere has his own secret and he dare not reveal that, not if he wants to save the dream of a Kingdom of Britain.

About the Author

Terry Newman was a research scientist, working on heart and lung function, who one day found himself in the BBC's Broad-casting House writing comedy. He is still rather vague about how this happened, but afterwards he decided that writing was more fun than sitting at an electron microscope in the dark. He has gone on to write award-winning films and plays and also writes for TV, radio, New Media, animation and games. His first novel, published by Harper Voyager: Detective Strongoak and the Case of the Dead Elf introduced the well-dressed, axe-wielding, Master Detective Nicely Strongoak and was a #1 Kindle Bestseller in the USA. Nicely's adventures continued in The King of Elfland's Little Sister and Dwarf Girls Don't Dance.Camelot Noir is a new series featuring the world-weary Sword-for-Hire and investigator Chaucere in King Arthur's Camelot.Terry now works in a nice bright room with a view of the Sussex Weald, where he also writes musicals and songs, but he does sometimes still miss his microscope.
