A colorful assortment of characters (including a watchful ex-husband), vivid descriptions, and a sensitive, informed discussion of the debilitating disease narcolepsy add realism and depth to a story that is as chilling as it is complex. A hard-driving, superobservant heroine and an attorney on a dangerous mission fight their growing attraction as they bring a killer to heel.
