About the Author

Steve Orme is an award-winning journalist who has been writing about basketball for more than 35 years. After playing – very badly – at school, his passion for the game was rekindled when he witnessed the start of a new era: Team Discounter Derby’s lifting of the Founders Cup. It signalled a golden era for the sport in the industrial city in central England.
Since then he has written for national, international and local publications as well as becoming a valued member of the production teams for television and radio shows’ basketball programmes.
When he is not watching sport, Steve is a fan of crime writing and hopes to produce a series of novels about a basketball-playing police detective.
