Overview

Jodi is new to the big city and struggling to get through medical school when she meets Al and they become best friends; lucky for her because she needed a place to stay and Al had an extra bedroom in her home. The girls grow closer and develop a strong relationship while discovering a lot about each other. Jodi grapples with the increased cost of living in California and a newfound active lifestyle as she tries to balance work, studies, and her budget, but the tension comes between the girls. Al is independent and yet alone, because her parents died and left her all they had, but she is young and unprepared for all this. As time goes by the girls friendship endures many tests and they come to discover that they are dependent upon each other more than they were willing to admit. As graduation approaches they have to face the possibility that their friendship may not survive their being apart, but when tragedy strikes they have to face a lot more than that and make some true life changes and decisions.
