After years of inner conflict and anger, psychiatrist Jampolsky underwent a transformation that he chronicled in Out of Darkness into the Light ( LJ 4/15/89). The result of his new outlook on life was his founding of the Center for Attitudinal Healing in 1975. Since then, he has been spreading the word in numerous books and audiocassettes. Like endless sequels, each one is a slight variation on the theme of transforming fear, blame, and guilt into love and peace. As do the others, Change Your Mind, Change Your Life gives personal testimonies and provides lessons to achieve the desired results. Each chapter concludes with ``affirmations,'' short self-help prayers to steer the convert in the right direction.
