CHAPTER 1

The Three Bears and Goldilocks

"The Bears point of view the way it really happened" Goldilocks wasn't so pure and innocent as the storybooks make her out to be you see. She didn't listen to her mother and she did not mind her own business. We took a walk in the forest to let our porridge cool down we never saw this coming. We thought it would be ok to leave our house for awhile and come back to find someone in our house. She violated our cottage; she walked in as if she owned the joint or paid the mortgage. She ate our food and that made us mad and it put us in a foul mood. She did not have to eat from every bowl of porridge on the table. Goldilocks could have had a disease of the mouth and she should have learned all about germs. That was nasty and low down and it made us frown up our noses. The whole situation was one big mess.

She broke into our house and vandalized our furniture. She had the nerve to sit in our comfortable chairs with her heavy body and break baby bear's chair. We can't believe that she laid her dirty body in our beds. She didn't even take a bath. That made us angry and mad and she had the nerve to fall asleep. She spent a lot of time roaming around our house being noisy. She should have minded her own business and stayed out of our house. She left our house in a big mess, we had to clean and spray our beds and our chairs down with disinfectant spray. We had to wash out floors and vacuum the furniture. We called the police she went to jail for breaking and entering, vandalism and pleading the scene of the crime. She got sentenced to 5 to 10 years in jail. She had a lot of time to reflect and change her situation. Goldilocks will think twice before she walks into anybody else house again my friend. I bet she wished she had listened to her mother and stayed away from the woods.

Bears live in the woods for a reason and a season to get away from humans and we just want our privacy and space. You humans blame us when we attack. We don't like humans. Leave us alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Little Boy's Pain"

There's this boy who had a very comfortable and loving Mother. His Father wasn't in his life to teach him how to become a man. His Father never taught him responsibilities of manhood. The boy's life was sheltered. His Mother worked hard and provided him with a good education. She tried to help him succeed in life. His Mother showered him with a lot of love and affection. The boy's Mother tried to protect him from hurt, harm and danger. When the boy grows up into a young man life took a turn for the worse. He made a lot of bad decisions in his life. He started hanging out with a bad crowd. He dropped out of high school and joined a gang. He also started selling and using drugs. He developed a drug addiction. His addiction made him become hard and callous toward his family. Him and his friends broke into his family's house to help them maintain his drug addiction. This family was very hurt and disappointed. His family never stopped praying and was hopeful that he would change his life around again. His Twin sisters and his brother had enough with his behavior and he made them very angry with him. The Young man moved away from home to maintain his drug addiction but, it never worked. He lost all hope and gave into his drug problem. Life for him has gotten worse. His family lost all hopes and trust in him and they could not support him anymore. The young man's family was very hurt and angry toward him and didn't want anything to do with him. The young man's actions finally caught up with him, and he spent 4 years in jail for stealing and robbing people to help support his drug addiction. He started to change his life around. He worked hard while he was serving time for his actions. He completed his GED and started learning many trades for college. While he was in jail he never received treatment for his drug addiction. That was his downfall; he tried to stop taking drugs on his own. When the young adult was released from jail he started working and enjoying life again. He started a new job and trying to advance his education. His older brother signed him into a drug rehab program for two weeks he walked out. The man started stealing and robbing people again and he landed himself back in jail again. Pain became his best friend. He wanted to commit suicide while, he was in jail again.

His family feared for his life. His family supported him and prayed on his behalf. His Mother and Older sister visited him in jail and never gave up hope. That meant the world to him and helps him throughout his recovery. He allowed drugs to control his life and his family feared for his safety. He spent 23 hours of his 24 hours a day on lock down in his cell for his crime. He had finally learned his lesson and took responsibility for his actions. He faced his fears about his drug addiction and started taking drug rehab in jail. He learned that drugs became a outlet for his problems that he faced in life. His Mother spent a lot of money on an attorney. His Attorney did all he could but, with the same two crimes under his belt. He had to serve 9 years in jail again. He was very grateful for his families support and love. This big sister gotten him transferred to a jail with a drug rehab program. He learned his triggers with his drug addiction and other ways of coping. He started leading the mentoring drug programs. The little boy grow up and life changed his ways. The little boy grows up into a man and learned life's lessons fast and hard. He had gotten him a job and a place to stay and working on buying a house. Change is just around the corner if you go looking for it. Life is like a highway it will start off smooth but, there will be curves and hard turns and detours. If you learn from them and change you can make it journey.

The message the little boy wants to past on to other young boys are stay in school and listen to your parents. Trust and rely on the Lord for wisdom and understanding. Talk to your parents, when you feel alone and scared and get help from the adults in your life. Remember that every decision you make have consequences good or bad. He believes in a high power for his protection and inner peace.

A Love that Will Forever be Lost

It's hard to say goodbye to the one you love when all you can do To stop the pain is cry and say goodbye

I will cherish the moments that God gave me with you And I'll never take our times for granted, because they are precious thoughts

God gave me great memories to hold in my heart, mind, and spirit Forever and ever

You can't replace a relationship between a father and daughter; It is a rare and precious pearl that will never die

The love I have for you runs so deep, it's hard to put into words

I sit around, thinking about the many nights you cornered me to listen to the Memories of your life on 43rd Street, when all I wanted to do was run; Now I'll trade all that I have to get those times back

My dad was a leader, servant, and a teacher, ready to challenge The mistakes you made that day and say let's sit down and talk it through My dad looked out for everyone else's needs as if he had No problems of his own to be met

The passing of a loved one is hard and painful but the great thoughts And memories will always live on

A Single Black Woman

A single black woman fights and endures hardships throughout her life A single black woman fought hard for her right to vote and to be accepted equally A single black woman endured hardship because of the color of her skin A single black woman has to always be strong and raise children all along A single black woman was forced into slavery and made to have babies A single black woman perseveres through challenges and fights hard to keep her head above water A single black woman is independent and trusts no one, not even herself, and feels she needs nothing from men A single black woman is only complete and at peace with herself when a single black man helps her make it through life—His name is God

A Woman Scorned

Life has turned her upside down, backward, and forward with its difficulties and hard struggles.

The men in her life have rejected and abused her so often, she has a hard time trusting God and giving Him her whole heart.

Life has dealt her a bad hand so many times, she can't see her fate straight enough to hate the situation she is facing.

She feels rejected so often by life; she has started thinking life has nothing good left to offer her anymore.

Life can be a joke: sometimes it's funny and sweet honey, but many times it's bad and can make you feel sad.

She is tired, upset, and pissed off and life has dissed her so often, she doesn't know what to do or which way to go.

Only God can restore and uplift her spirits and change her circumstances and her way of thinking to help her stop sinking.

    Ain't Nothing Like a Brother

He has strong features that demand respect
And a voice that commands to be heard

He's very confident in his appearance and he
Walks proud and tall and carries the weight of this
    World on his shoulders

That caramel-like skin is something to be
    Admired and adored

Brothers were mistreated throughout slavery and
Were forced to watch their women be raped and
Abused; it took all they had to be brave and
    Maintain control

Life throws him a hardball daily 'cause he's
Faced with many different roles in life:
Father, brother, provider, motivator, and strongman
    And he withstands it all

He treats his woman like the queen that she is and
Protects her from the dangers of this world

    Being Shielded from Life

When you're born in this world, your parents wrap you
Up in their arms to keep you safe from danger

Your grandparents love you so much that they
Protect you from the danger of the world

When you're given everything from life, you become irresponsible
And lazy; you don't appreciate anything from life anymore

You avoid difficult situations in your life; you don't have to
Focus on your emotions and pain

You attend college and everything is paid for you like your tuition
And bills; you don't appreciate life's responsibilities

When you're shielded from life, you're not aware of life's
Danger, so grab life and hold on tight

    Camp Counselor Memories

It is very refreshing sitting with
    Friends near a campfire
    Praying and singing to God

Sitting on a wooden bench near
The lake, listening to the sounds
Of the water and basking in all
    Of God's goodness

When you are alone with your
    Thoughts and are listening
    To spiritual songs uplifting your
    Spirit, mind, and body
    You are at peace ...

    When you're cooking for kids
    Of different ages, you're looking
    Forward to the peaceful moods
Of the end shift by yourself
    And your journal

    When you're having steaks and
Potatoes and salad with the other counselor
And all the kids are gone
    Celebrating successful weeks
    Of camp and relaxing and
    Spending time with adults

    The best job I
Ever had: spent time with God,
    Friends, and family and
    Fun and getting paid
    Was the highlight of the
    Time spent

    Claim It

I'm going to be a teacher, so therefore I am

a woman who trusts and relies on the Lord only

I'm going to publish my first book of poetry

I'm financially wealthy in mind, heart, and spirit

I'm a woman who has hopes and dreams of being
    a wife and a mother

Daddy's Little Girl

She loved her daddy so much; he took her everywhere with him, to visit family and friends, even to the circus and the park. She never wanted her time with Daddy to end.

She spent weekends with her daddy and she wished her daddy lived with her; she wanted Daddy all to herself.

Three years later, Daddy got married and had a kid who got more daddy-time, attention, and love than she did ...

Daddy's little girl drifted away in her mind into a world of fantasy that she created: this Daddy no one else could hear or see but her.

The little girl became a women and her daddy faded into a faint and lonely memory ...

She searched for someone to fill the hole that Daddy only could heal, but they hurt the little girl and she hurt them.

She had a hard time trusting men, thinking and looking at the way her daddy had been.

She was hurt by life over and over again and she wondered where her daddy could have been. But this was the trend her Daddy relationship was in ...

She tricked herself into believing that her relationship with her daddy had come to an end and it could never been the way it was before. She closed that chapter door.

She grew in knowledge and understood the meaning of love from God and gave Him her hurts and pains and He mended her heart and love for Daddy again.

God blessed her with a husband and she fell in love and she forgave Daddy, and his little girl was back in his arms again and again.

Dating vs. the World

It should be pure, respectful, and a friendship that's centered on and honored by God

You should value and treat the person the way you want to be treated—that's with love

You should appreciate the person with the greatest respect and give them your heart constantly

Dating should be something that's focused and centered on loving God more than man and should be a treated plan

It is usually about what everyone wants from themselves and don't appreciate each other at all and this plan will always fall

Dating is based a lot around sex and hurting each other and taking each other for granted a lot

It's a very materialistic focus centered on lust and greed and nine times out of ten it's not a good deed

Dating can become very hurtful and make you bitter inside, if you don't give your heart and time to that person

It's usually centered on an attractive person with a nice body, not an intellectual focus

Dating should be fun and exciting when you give your heart and it's based around God
