About the Author

Cristian Matei, CCIE No. 23684, is a senior security consultant for Datanet Systems, a Cisco Gold Partner in Romania. He has designed, implemented and maintained multiple large enterprise networks covering Cisco’s security, routing, switching and wireless solutions. Cristian started his networking experience in 2005 with Microsoft technology and finished the MCSE Security and MCSE Messaging tracks.  He then joined Datanet where quickly obtained his Security CCIE among other certifications and specializations like CCNP and CCDP. He is a certified Cisco instructor teaching CCNA, CCNP and CCSP curriculum courses.  In 2009 he was awarded by Cisco with Cisco TTA - Trusted Technical Advisor grade and got certified as CICSP — Cisco Ironport Certified Security Professional on Email and Web.  In 2010 he obtained ISACA CISM — Certified Information Security Manager and started his collaboration with Internetwork Expert as technical editor on the Routing & Switching and Security workbook series. He is currently preparing for his RS, SP CCIE tracks and can be found as an regular active member on INE and Cisco forums.
