Overview

After leaving Batman at the altar, Selina Kyle leaves town to lick her breakup wounds in Villa Hermosa—a city almost as cold and corrupt as Gotham.

But soon after moving, she discovers her new neighborhood already has a Catwoman—and the impostor is wanted by the local police! Selina barely has time to settle in before she's the subject of a citywide manhunt, after eyewitnesses place Catwoman at the center of a brutal crime spree.

Still reeling from the aftermath of the wedding-that-wasn't, Catwoman will have to put off processing her feelings about her breakup while she instead figures out who's been stealing her look—and why. If she can't catch the copycat and clear her name, this former villain might end up behind bars—but for someone else's crimes!

About the Author

Joëlle Jones is an Eisner Award-nominated artist currently living and working in Los Angeles, CA. Since attending PNCA in Portland, OR she has contributed to a wide range of projects such as drawing for Batman and Supergirl: Being Super, and writing and drawing the series Lady Killer. Jones has also provided the art for fashion designer Prada, and various projects for Marvel, Boom, Vertigo, Oni Press and the New York Times.

Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, is having a bad year. Her highly anticipated wedding to Bruce Wayne ended before it began (see Tom King's Batman, issue 50), and instead of enjoying wedded bliss with Batman, she's fleeing alone to Villa Hermosa—a town as far away from Gotham as possible. Trouble always seems to find the sometimes-reformed villain, however, and she quickly ends up on the wrong side of the governor's corrupt wife, Raina Creel.
