Overview

Cat Tales is the epic story of two cats who shared one soul.It is Cleo and Sheba's tale of their many moves around the country, from coast to coast in ways most unusual for cats. The story is humorous, touching, adventurous and sometimes heartbreaking, with all events told from a cat's point of view. Their mistress is the ghost write of the tale, but the story is really the adventures of a single feline soul that incarnated successively into tow bodies. Cleo was born to her birth mother cat on the righ side of the tracks but with a questionable lineage. She was a beautiful black cat with bewitching green eyes who found herself in a litter of blue eyed, pedigreed Siamese kittens.Cleo, justifiably named for Queen Cleopatra, was together with her mistress for 15 years, during which time they moved too many times to suit any cat, and especially this one. Her mistress was an executive who was relocated to many different places by the company for which she worked. After a long and eventfull life, Cleo died after a long and serious illness, departing her beautiful black body, but she knew before she left that she would be back in another life for her beloved mistress. The mistress knew it too, because they were soul mates of a kind. So Cleo chose to reincarnate a couple of years later as a gorgeous Tortosieshell kitty named for yet another famous monarch, the Queen of Sheba.
Cleo and Sheba describe their adventures as well as the many traumas they experienced as they were forced to move from one dwelling place to another. Well, at least Cleo thought of her travel experiences as traumaic. Sheba was far more adventurous than she had been in her life as Cleo, and what a life she and her mistress had together. Sheba went everywhere the mistress went. She traveled from coast to coast with the mistress and stayed in hotels, motels and places she wasn't really supposed to be. Sheba was taught to walk on a leash, which really helped her to enjoy the good life. And, what a life that was!
