Anthony Trollope was a 19th-century British novelist who was born in London in 1815. He is known for his realistic and detailed portrayals of Victorian society, as well as his prolific output, having written over 40 novels and numerous short stories and non-fiction works throughout his career. Trollope's early life was marked by financial difficulties, and he worked as a civil servant before turning to writing.
