Overview

Emilie has some interesting talents. She can create things from thin air. Despite her abilities, she has tried her hardest to live under the radar her entire life. All she wanted was to live in peace with her best friend Jack, work her magic shows, and get over the nightmares of her brother's abduction and her mother's abuse. But when horrible monsters begin to hunt her down in broad daylight, it's apparent life will be anything but normal. New faces appear to tell her she's in danger, and people she thought she could trust have been keeping secrets about her for a long time—like the fact that her abilities shouldn't even exist. To top it off, Emilie is at the center of a war being waged from a place, and by creatures, she didn't even know were real. All the information has one connection in common: Emilie's abusive mother.

But she's been dead over twenty years.
