A decade ago, Dee Dupree Jackson experienced visions from a murder victim, helping her solve a crime from the 1960s and making her a local hero. Those days are gone and her life in a small Northeast Georgia town is ordinary, except for the secret she and her daughter, Sara, keep under wraps. Like Dee’s Aunt Connie, Sara’s clairvoyant characteristics showed up at an early age. By the time Sara is eight, her drawings and conversations with a ghost leave no doubt in Dee’s mind that a family disaster is in the making -- and directly affects the son of her best friend and sister-in-law, Emmy. The lead FBI agent ignores Dee’s plea to use Sar’s drawings to help find a mysterious, creepy kidnapper who changes her identity at her slightest whim.

About the Author

Martha Phillips grew up in North Georgia. After retiring from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2005, her love of writing songs and poems expanded to novel writing. “Writing this sequel to Written on a Rock, felt like going back to Elberton and visiting with old friends,” she says. “When one of my nice characters became a jerk, I actually got angry with him. Imagine that!” Art, including her love of painting, allows her creative spirit to soar.
