These 24- page books feature colorful pictures of a variety of children, sometimes with accompanying adults. The images reinforce the terms and healthy suggestions within the text. The books use a large font size and simple text to teach children how to protect their skin and eyes and how to prevent tooth decay. There is a Table of Contents at the start of each book. A picture glossary of three key terms, a question to reinforce learning (with an answer that can be found after turning the page), and an index for a few terms are at the end of each book. The last part of each book also has suggestions for parents and teachers including questions and activities to use with children before and after reading these books. One book describes how to enjoy the sun but stay safe with clothing, sunglasses, and proper use of sunscreen and sunblock as well as drinking water and finding shade. The other book describes plague, when and how to properly brush teeth to remove it, and other ways to care for your teeth such as drinking water, limiting sugary food and drink, and visiting the dentist. These books would be helpful in a classroom or at home for young children and readers to learn healthy behaviors to protect their bodies from the heat and sun and their teeth from decay.
