About the Author

Carl Forest was raised by Catholic Nuns at St. Anthony’s Orphanage in Toledo, Ohio. He received a BS in physics from University of Detroit and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Michigan State University. He worked for NASA, and then taught and researched physics at the University of Idaho and Michigan State University. When the Vietnam War dried up funding for physics, he became a lawyer, receiving a J.D. from Boston University. He is now a partner in the Denver office of Patton Boggs LLP, a Washington, DC based law firm.
