Overview

When “career” is the question, this book is the answer. In contrast to other books on career exploration, this one is brief and very practical. The book contains simple instructions for assessing your interests, values, abilities, and personality traits. There are also instructions for matching your interests to career fields and finding information about occupations. Unique to Career? is a very comprehensive chapter on understanding colleges and universities. Dr. Maple also lists skills and insights that students can develop in college, suggesting college activities and institutional resources to help a student maximize those gains. Free worksheets on the publisher’s website make it simple to record and use the information that the reader discovers about oneself and about the occupations of interest.
