With a growl he slapped me. A short scream slipped from my mouth as my head rebounded from the back of the chair. It brought tears to my eyes; my cheek was on fire. My hair had fallen across my face as I hung my head and blinked to clear my vision. I held back a sob, I would not cry in front of this man.

Sweat trickled down my neck and between my breasts while I fought back tears. A hand roughly grabbed my hair and yanked my head up. My eyes focused on his face through a haze of pain. I opened my mouth to tell him I was innocent and he had the wrong person...
