One of the birds misunderstands Captain Cat's intentions and gets a blue whale to shake the ship, only to find that the other two birds aren't endangered at all. Instead, they are having a lovely time with Captain Cat. Soon all three birds, the blue whale, and Captain Cat are five good friends having lunch under the sun. Told in simple rhyming couplets with a little onomatopoeia mixed in—"Whoosh. Bam. Splash. Bump. Plop. Crash"—and illustrated in saturated, boldly colored digital design, this whimsical easy reader is highly accessible without losing its sweetness.
