When the novel started, I couldn't really relate to the main character as my life at that age was so different. It is the author's skill that turned the young lady into a likeable character. You'll follow her as she matures and finds the love of her life. The world is supposed to be wonderful and his new job fulfilling, yet she fears the place where he works and the Professor who has hired him to work at the Academy.
