About the Author

Ted Sutton lived and worked in East-Central Alberta for most of his professional career. He and his wife operated a small ranch raising sheep, cattle and Border Collies. For many years they competed in stock dog trials throughout Western Canada and provided top working dogs to many farmers and ranchers in the area. Ted also taught agriculture for 29 years at a regional post-secondary college in Vermilion, Alberta where he had the pleasure of working with excellent professors as well as teaching many fine young men and women a career in animal science.
