Overview

The story begins with typical summer-struck children in rural America looking for a thrill and landing in a horror scene. But it doesn't stop there! Follow the characters in a winding tale of cyclical crime and lifelong terror . . .

An old woman with a secret. A mute boy swamped by rodents and revenge. Lies and deceit expound into deaths that unfold to create a map which reveals the path through a butterfly-effected suburban house with children at large and ends in a grime-filled city infected by sex and scandal at the final destination! "Campfire Stories: Tales of Terror" is the perfect read to induce the most chilling of goosebumps on a night of ghost-stories and shared folklore, whether it be between you and a crowd or you and the silence of a pitch black midnight! The climaxes will leave your pulse pounding three times over – but the conclusion of it all will be what leaves you awake at night!

About the Author

Heather D’Aoust* is a new face to authentic literature in the form of being an eccentric composer of thought-provoking contemporary novels and texts with a unique sense of strength and creativity.
Ms. D’Aoust started her personal journey as a minor with a pension for academic competitions in the “American Literature contexts” that quickly flowered into a poetic passion, launching full-force into internships in San Diego County with diverse “zines” and anthologies. As an adult, Ms. D’Aoust channeled her writing aspirations into political activism and religious commentaries, doing brief but poignant collaborations within mainstream journalism.
Graduating from Stratford Career College with a diploma in creative writing at only twenty years of age, she began a lifelong learning process that has earned numerous other diplomas over the years and multiple diverse vocational certifications. She has put her sweat and blood into her goal to refine her writing tact to her maximum potential through her independent literary business that has made her a self-acclaimed “True Entrepreneur” by trade!
Heather is honored to join J.A. Publishing LLC with the debut of her first E-books on the market and has so many more plans that shall soon surpass the boundaries of her Imaginary and enter our Reality!
Always a believer in autonomy, Ms. D’Aoust refuses to compromise with the social norms of today in her quest to return literacy to its finer and greater roots.
Despite lifelong struggles and hard-learned lessons, she is known for striving with the utmost perseverance to ring truth in her famous self-quote and shared motto: “I am who I am – not who I was.”
