Call of the Loon
Successful trial attorney, Megan Kearney, leaves Philadelphia to return to Riverside, her family home in upstate New York on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, following a mugging which was the catalyst she needed for a decision she had been contemplating for some time.
In Riverside, Megan is reunited with her family (mother and father, Brian and Sarah, retired college professors, and sister and brother-in-law Pat and Dave). she learns the man she had become close to prior to leaving for Philadelphia, Professor Eric Waterman, has become involved with wealthy Ellen Foster.
Her life is turned upside down when she meets charismatic, Steve Warner; is invited to become a candidate for political office; and has to deal with con-man George Fairchild who threatens to ruin the lives of Pat and Dave. Hovering in the background is psychology professor, Hannah Adams, whose loose tongue is a threat to everyone.
