Overview

On the day of his college graduation, Troy Lawson learns his older sister has died in California, leaving him as guardian of his 14 year old niece, Haley. Over her objection, Troy and Haley move back to Indiana, where he starts a new job teaching at a small high school and coaching the girls' basketball team. Together they must deal with their grief, while bonding through a love of basketball. To complicate matters, a man claiming to be Haley's Father files for custody.
