Overview

Days at the beach passed like fog receding across the sand. Friends and acquaintances dropped by and shared jokes, beer and their secret dreams. Sun-tanned skin stirred the memories and fueled the desires of those you never saw anywhere else. Time seemed to stop even as the months passed and mementos littered the palm-thatched deck of your beach house. The summers were endless. You never saw anyone again.

Nostalgically, like youth and wasted summers, like a soft-core cable film you don't remember the ending of, C fe Bikin relates a summer of a group of friends at the end of their high school adventures and on the verge of new adventures. What they share together culminates at the local beer hangout, the Cafe Bikini. Contains adult material.

About the Author

Roger Leatherwood worked on the lower rungs of Hollywood in numerous capacities for almost 20 years before returning to print fiction, where the stories he told were his own. He worked in movie theatres and production companies, projecting all manner of films and kicking out all manner of customers. He wrote coverage for scripts and cataloged stock footage. He also cataloged the scripts and covered up the footage at the end of the day.

His interests focus on the matching of genre and high art, in unorthodox structures and the tension between literary intent and the authenticity of the profane. He studied moving image archiving at UCLA; his debut feature "Usher" won numerous awards on the independent film festival circuit.

His writings have or will appear in Thirteen Myna Birds, Skive Magazine, Oysters & Chocolate, Crack The Spine, Liquid Imagination, Cleaver Magazine, KY Scary Story, Infernal Ink, Nefarious Ballerina, Oulipo Pornobongo, Apocrypha & Abstractions, Surreal Grotesque, Circa Literary Review, Bohemia Arts Journal, Temptation (UK) Magazine, Razor Dildo, HorrorSleazeTrash, Eunoia Review, Nicki Haze's Apocalypse, European Trash Cinema and others.
