Overview

Elen of Laggan is cousin to both King Duncan and Macbeth and torn between loyalty to each. Wed to Talcoran, she is content. But when Duncan’s son, Malcolm, kills Macbeth, he orders Elen to wed her first love, Patric. The widowed and grieving Elen refuses, until she learns Patric had Talcoran’s body buried with honor.
