Overview

John Doe is the creator of a Virtual Reality/Sensory Deprivation (VRSD) chamber, the OmniSyn 2.0, that can facilitate time travel via the internet. John Doe tries to regain his memory and identity while being hunted down with his own invention. The present and future intertwine as John Doe's would-be assassin, Cameron, closes in on his objective. All the while, a mind war is being waged that, in the future, takes on the form of a global nuclear holocaust caused by a terrorist group known only as Noxius. The internet, a virtual and multi-dimensional wasteland, becomes the battlefield where battles are waged for hearts and minds... but mostly minds.

About the Author

Author, screenwriter, and filmmaker... MJ Mopera first realized his debut science fiction novel, BUZZism: Beyond, as a completed screenplay... then as a series of screenplays for which Beyond the novel might eventually kickstart a series of BUZZism movies based on the novel itself and the screenplay installments.

Mopera's pun/wordplay style of writing that lends itself to his novel and screenplays is the focus of his first published attempt, Analects of BUZZism.

Mopera received a Bachelor's Degree in Film Production from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) where his co-directed student film and conspiracy thriller, Guinea Pigs, received a Certificate of Merit at the Chicago International Film Festival. While attending CSUN he became a survivor of the 1994 Northridge earthquake which led to him editing the student documentary film, After the Shocks.

Prior to devoting himself to a career in writing, Mopera was a public relations/marketing executive in Los Angeles for the entertainment industry.

Mopera became an avid strategist of the e*trade mobile app when he realized that implementing his strategy for just minutes a day could actually free up more time for writing as opposed to working a regular 9 to 5 job.

Mopera, who was born in Tucson, Arizona and is of Filipino descent, currently resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
