Have you ever had puppy fever? Millions of Americans are animals lovers, and give their pets a prominent position in the family. If you have ever stirred your dog's food at his request, or let him slip under the covers with you, or taken him to a doggie birthday party, this story is for you.
It is the true story of Terry and Sharon, a couple of empty nesters who decide, now that the kids and their pets are gone, to indulge their long suppressed canine desires. Their puppy love goes deep when they find the perfect little companion, and name him Baxter. You'll laugh with them at Baxter's crazy antics, then suffer with them when he is lost. Will they ever recover from their pain? How far will they go to make their home safe again?
Journey with them, as Sharon tells this poignant tale with heart wrenching truth, a touch of humor and lots of puppy love.
