"Buster, a story of a slave" is a novel in which Dillan MacDonald, a young man from an Upstate New York community, inherits a South Carolina plantation and becomes a slave owner which is the last thing he wants to be. Although he hasn't given it a lot of thought in the past, he gradually becomes strongly opposed to the institution of slavery when he meets Buster, a slave. Dillan in fact falls in love with a slave girl. This is a fast moving adventure novel.
