1. BURIED TREASURE: Ranches on the Oklahoma Panhandle were often far apart, and company coming to visit was a highly anticipated event, especially if the visitor was someone about your own age. A thirteen-year-old girl could get very lonely, and Caitlyn of the BB Ranch knew what loneliness was. So a visit from an unexpected friend to help with the work and have fun with was too much to expect. But what happened next was even more unexpected and exciting.

A lot of surprises can happen in the course of a day, and that was exactly what happened on the homeschoolers' class trip.
